Sustainability

For Alegra, sustainability is an ongoing process that combines three key issues (economic, social, environment) which enables production activities and economic development in full respect of our surroundings. This process involves all the stakeholders in the production chain: producers, distributors and consumers.

ECONOMIC
Sustainability

In terms of economic sustainability, our goal is to increase our production efficiency and to safeguard our producers’ financial stability by encouraging long-term planning, steady growth and to capitalise on the added-value features of their fruit and vegetables. This in order to guarantee a profitable income and a good quality life to our growers and their future generations.

SOCIAL
Sustainability

Alegra’s social responsibility plan aims to foster a sense of worth and belonging among its producers. We believe that agriculture can truly be sustainable only when it doesn’t just focus on meeting the food needs of population but also helps to improve the quality of life of consumers and all of society, by always supplying safe fresh fruit and vegetables and raising awareness of where they come from and why they are essential to a healthy diet.

ENVIRONMENTAL
Sustainability

We are determined to meet our present needs without compromising future generations but in full respect of natural resources and biodiversity.

Monitoring all along the supply chain, abiding the governing regulations of integrated farming, international certifications and a strict internal Quality Control Manual are the basis of our environmental sustainability plan.
